1. General.  By submitting an entry to this Contest, sponsored by Rocket Doctor, Inc. (“the Sponsor”), the entrant acknowledges and agrees to all of these Official Rules. Void where prohibited. The Contest takes place from October 23, 2021 at 12:00:00 AM local time to October 24, 2021 at 11:59:59 PM local time and October 30, 2021 at 12:00:00 AM local time to October 31, 2021 at 11:59:59 PM local time.

By entering the drawing, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the Sponsor, whose decisions are at its sole discretion and are binding and final. Failure to comply with these rules will result in disqualification from this Contest.

2. Eligibility. The Contest is open only to Rocket Doctor physicians in Ontario, Alberta and BC. Employees of Sponsor and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) of each of the foregoing are not eligible.

3. How To Enter.  Work 6 hours in total across any of the last two weekends of October and you will receive one entry to win a prize.

4. Bonus Entries. You will receive one additional entry for every additional 2 hours worked across the dates and times outlined above

5. Prizes. There are seven prizes in total. Each entrant is only eligible to receive one prize. Grand Prize: two roundtrip business class tickets to/from anywhere in the world, up to a maximum total cost of 225,000 American Express Points (transferable to a number of air miles programs, including Aeroplan). Secondary Prizes include two  tickets to an NHL or Raptors game, face value up to maximum of five hundred dollars total. Five $15 Starbucks or Tim Hortons gift cards.

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of all prizes is $4,000. The actual value of the flights and tickets will vary depending on various factors, including the date of the event, ticket availability, date of booking, the point of departure, and the dates of travel.

Grand Prize Winner: The trip must be booked by March 31, 2022 or the prize will be forfeited. Travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Travel dates and reservations are subject to availability. Trip must be booked at least thirty days prior to intended departure date.

NHL or Raptors Tickets Winner: The game must be a regular season game attended during the 2021/2022 seasons or the prize will be forfeited. Game dates are subject to availability and must be booked at least thirty days in advance

If the winner elects to partake in any or all portions of the prizes with fewer than the allotted number of guests or no guests, the Prize will be awarded to winner and each participating guest and any remainder of the Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption. Unless child or ward of winner or one of the allotted guests, each guest must be eighteen or older as of the date of the event. For the Grand Prize winner they must be eighteen or older for the date of departure and must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as the Winner.

The prizes consists only of the elements expressly set forth above; no other elements or expenses (including, without limitation, insurance, meals, unspecified ground transportation, phone calls, baggage, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, gasoline, etc.) are included in the Prize and all such expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner.

The winner is responsible for any air travel taxes and/or expenses, including applicable departure taxes or fees, inspection charges, baggage fees, and security charges. Winner and guests are responsible for obtaining, at their own expense, any necessary travel documentation (i.e. valid photo identification, visas, passports, etc.) prior to travel. Once issued, tickets are non-transferable and may not be reissued once travel has commenced. Open tickets may not be issued and stopovers are not permitted. The winner and his/her guests must travel on the same itinerary.

Winners may be required to comply with certain COVID-19 protocols and measures that are imposed by airlines, governmental authorities, arenas or otherwise, including but not limited to wearing a mask, observing social distancing and quarantining, and you agree to comply with such protocols and regulations.

The Prize is not exchangeable, negotiable or transferable. The Sponsor will not provide any cash alternative to the Prize.

The Sponsor reserves the right to vary the Prize without prior notice to an alternative prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control makes it necessary to do so.

The Sponsor also reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the draw if circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control make it necessary to do so (including in the event of unforeseen circumstances making the administration of the prize draw impossible or impractical). In the event of such cancellation, you will be notified within seven days of cancellation by email. The Sponsor won’t be liable for any loss whatsoever as a result of cancellation of the draw.

 

5. Selection of Winners. There will be one person selected for each prize.

The decision of the Sponsor is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

The Sponsor will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the contest closes using the email address or other contact details provided.

The Sponsor must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, the Sponsor may publish the surname of the winners of the Prize on the Website and/or any of the Promoter’s social media pages and may send the surname of major prize winners, to anyone who emails admin@rocketdoctor.io within one month after the Closing Date of the Contest.

6. Claiming the Prize

Winners of the Prize must claim the Prize within fourteen days from the Announcement Date. If you do not claim the Prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.

The Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their Prize within fourteen (14) days of the Announcement Date, the Sponsor reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the valid entries that were received before the Closing Date.

The Sponsor does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Prize within the timescales set out here or otherwise.

In the event that you do claim the Prize in accordance with this clause 6, the winner: (i) may be required to sign some additional documentation, which may include a waiver and a publicity release; and (ii) required to confirm that they will comply with the terms of any airline or other supplier in connection with the Prize, and you agree to sign such documentation or agree to such terms. In addition, you must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. If a potential winner fails to sign and return these documents within the required time period, or fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, and time permits, an alternate potential winner may be selected in his/her place from the valid entries that were received before the Closing Date.

7. Waiver, Indemnity and Liability. By entering the Contest, the entrant assumes all liability for any personal injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by, arising out of or in connection with his or her participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize, and hereby indemnifies, holds harmless and releases the Sponsor. None of the Sponsor, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and the officers, directors, agents and employees of any of the foregoing, are responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this contest. Participation constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, city, state, likeness and/or voice for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation.

 

8. Disputes/Choice of law. Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by provincial or federal courts situated in Ontario.
