Hello, I am a registered social worker practicing since 2012 specializing in trauma work and as a people leader and supervisor. I understand that mental health is rich, complex and unique to each individual.

I have experience working with clients in crisis, short-term solution-focused counselling and long term counselling in private practice.

I am committed to creating a safe and collaborative environment to support you in getting to your goals in therapy. Together we will build practical and effective strategies to manage strong emotions, expand your resilience and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others.

My work is centered around a holistic and integrative therapeutic approach that cares for the body, mind and spirit. I use a variety of treatment approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Deep Brain Reorienting, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness practices.

I am experienced in moving people through anxiety, depression, recovery from traumatic experiences, grief, self-esteem issues, relationship issues and life transitions. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers and Alberta College of Social Workers.

I endeavor to offer a safe space that is filled with unconditional positive regard and absent of judgement. It is my firm belief that each of us has the ability to overcome life’s challenges and heal ourselves if given the right tools and the right environment to do so. 

My role as a therapist is to provide the support that each of us could use when navigating loss, change, stress or just the daily experiences of life. Whether you are overcoming a challenging situation in the present, ready to work on something that has been affecting your mental wellbeing for some time or deepening your relationship with yourself, I am here to listen and provide tools as needed. 

In order to best support my clients, I draw from different therapeutic models based upon each client’s presenting concerns. Your needs may require a brief, solution-focused approach, or an in depth one – exploring underlying issues, and unhelpful patterns of behaviour.
